Blessed Are The Cheesemakers by Sarah-Kate Lynch

Blessed Are the Cheesemakers - Sarah-Kate Lynch

This is a deliciously quirky novel which sits happily in the magic realism genre, with just a nice touch of romance too. It's got everything you might need - wonderful descriptions, particularly of the cheese making, lots of Irish folklore, a bizarre community of cheese-making folks, and a magical romance.

Mind you, I was less impressed with the ridiculous handling of Kit's estranged wife and feel that whole story line could have done with a lot more editing to make it work - as for me, it just didn't. But definitely a fun read, nonetheless.
